Helpful Advice for Portrait Photography Sessions
As your belly grows to when your long awaited baby is born absolute detail photography is here to capture your special memories. Listed below are a few recommendations to help you prepare for your photo session.

General
Loud, busy patterned clothing is not recommended; neutral tones look nicest. We will need to arrive 45 minutes prior to your in home appointment in order to set up our equipment. A room with a 12x15 foot space will work best. If you have a large window we will also use this for some natural lighting photographs.

Maternity session
During your session you may be photographed both alone, with your partner or additional children. It is best to be photographed after 30 weeks along. You may wear as much or as little clothing as desired. Non maternity tank tops in white and black as well as non maternity jeans (undone) are recommended, as these are great for showing off your belly. You may have a number of other outfits you would like to wear for your session and we will be more than happy to help you decide what looks best.

Newborn
It is best to book your session when your baby is under 10 days old, as they are still very sleepy. Your baby will be photographed alone, with one/both parents as well as with any siblings he/she may have. As parents hands are commonly used in the photographs, black and white long sleeved tops are recommended. We recommend your newborn be photographed in the nude; it is advised the air conditioner be turned off prior to your session. We bring along a variety of coloured fabrics as well as some props but please feel free to let us know of any sentimental items you would like photographed with your new baby.

Family Photo Session
You may choose a location that is special to your family for your photo session. We recommend a park, forest or beach type setting. When preparing your outfits for your session similar colours and styles for your family look best. (Everyone wearing jeans and sweaters, etc.)

Policies
• Images will be available to order for one year
• 50% of payment is required before your photo session.
The last payment is required upon pick-up of proofs.
• The use of unauthorized cameras/camcorders is prohibited during photo session.
• Proofs in a 4x5 format will be available 2 weeks following session
• Orders will be available 4-6 weeks following order date
• Orders must be paid in full upon pick-up
• All taxes extra
